Don't Forget About Your Fireworks Night Costumes!posted by Jason on November, 01, 2016 in Halloween tagged with Halloween
For the last few weeks, everyone has been deliberating about what Halloween costume they are going to wear. However, now that October 31st has been and gone, and we’ve retired our zombie, witch, pumpkin or devil outfit for another year, it is time to think about what you’re going to wear for the next seasonal event – Bonfire Night.
Guy Fawkes is a mere few days away, so there’s not much time to put together your look for November 5th this year.
The obvious choice would be to attend a party or community display as a firework itself, with streamers sticking out the top of your outfit to really emphasise the look.
Or, if you’re a Katy Perry fan, you could take inspiration from the dress she wore when she filmed the video for her hit Firework. Her ensemble was unusually tame, with the star ditching her typically daring stage outfits for a pretty white and gold floaty dress, knee-high boots and white tights.
The ethereal outfit with added sequins certainly made the singer look like a sparkler in the video – and so could you if you choose to wear a similar dress!
Alternatively, if you’re a history fan, you could dress up as Guy Fawkes himself. Opt for a wide-brimmed black hat, long black tunic with a belt, a matching cloak and knee-high boots.
To complete the look, make sure you have a white mask with black moustache and a thin black beard down the chin. Of course, don’t forget to bring a fake match with you to your event to really get into character!
